Coming in just shy of 1 kg / 2.2 lbs, this is one hefty little 1911. Being improved later models, MEUs are updated variants of the venerable 1911 and this model takes after the design somewhat but not entirely. The slim single-stack type magazine is smaller capacity then some larger types but it allows for a slim grip which many smaller hands find more comfortable. Whilst the ergo grips are very reminiscent of MEU designs with the distinctive thumb-level curve, this model also features an extended magazine release button which makes the classically tricky mag releases significantly easier to reach.
